摘要
Countries covered: Global
Study Goals and Objectives
BCC’s goal in conducting this study was to assess and describe the current status of the worldwide distributed energy (DE) generation industry for all major technologies, and assess the potential growth of that industry. More specifically, the study included the following objectives: (1) summarize existing DE generation technologies, as well as promising technologies under development; (2) evaluate the existing DE industry, focused on producers of each major viable technology; and (3) assess market potential for DE generation technologies over a 5-year period, from 2008 through 2013.
This report:
- Provides an in-depth analysis of the distributed electricity generation market
- Reviews U.S., European and Asian markets for distributed energy generation technologies and forecasts the size and future growth of the markets, with forecasts through 2013
- Describes various distributed generation technologies including those that generate electricity from fossil fuel, renewable fuels/biofuels, hydraulic head, wind, solar and geothermal sources
- Introduces emerging technologies that may be available for significant commercial use by 2013 including micro-trigeneration, stirling engines and hybrid systems
- Discusses important manufacturers and factors influencing demand.
